Brad Chin, Officer

Officer Brad Chin was raised on the East Side of Saint Paul where he dreamed of becoming a Saint Paul Police Officer. He graduated college from Inver Hills Community College and completed skills from Hennepin Technical College. While attending college he was employed by Sherburne County Sheriff's Office as a Correctional Officer where he began to gain experience in Law Enforcement. He joined the Saint Paul Police Department in 2017. He has worked the Eastern District, Western District, Special Operations Unit, and is currently patrols with his K9 partner Banner. He is a member of the Pascals Regional Catholic School Board and loves giving back to his community. He prides himself in displaying service to everyone on and off the job as a Police Officer.

CJ Howse, Sergeant

Sergeant C.J. Howse was born and raised outside of Cleveland, Ohio and has lived in Minnesota since 2019. He has been an active member in NBPA since 2020. Deputy Howse began his journey to becoming a police officer in 2009 when he became a Sheriff’s Explorer with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office (Cleveland,Ohio). He served as an Auxiliary Police Officer with The City of Lakewood and The VIllage of Oakwood while enrolled at The University of Akron. While attending UA, he obtained his bachelors degree in political science and minored in criminal justice. After graduating from UA, Deputy Howse first worked as an Admissions Counselor primarily recruiting in Illinois and Maryland. After a year at UA as an Admission Counselor C.J. was appointed as a Judicial Assistant at the Summit County Court of Common Plea’s by Judge Alison Breaux. In 2019 C.J. Participated in the pathways to policing program and was hired as a Police Officer at The City of St.Louis Park. After 2 years at St.Louis Park, C.J. accepted a position at the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office where he was assigned to the Joint Enforcement Team (J.E.T.). CJ is a member of the Office’s Honor Guard, Crisis Negotiation Team, and currently works as a patrol sergeant.

Chris Jenkins, Officer

Officer Chris Jenkins was born and raised in Minnesota. He grew up in North Minneapolis and attended DeLaSalle High School. Following high school, he attended the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he obtained a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Jenkins worked as a computer engineer before deciding to pursue a career in law enforcement. He began his career with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office as a licensed deputy. After two years with the county, Officer Jenkins transferred to the Saint Paul Police Department where he currently works as a patrol officer in the Western District.

Rae Marin, Officer

Officer Rae Marín was born and raised in Houston, TX and has lived in Minnesota since 2015. She has been a member of NBPA MN since 2017. She served 6 years in the Army National Guard as Military Police for both the state of Texas and Minnesota. Following her service in the National Guard, she served an additional 3 years with the Army Reserve. She attended Century College where she obtained an Associates of Science in Law Enforcement, and completed skills at Hennepin Technical College. She started her career with the Maplewood Police Department, where her additional duties include Recruiting Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, Safety Committee. and will be starting a new role with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office at the beginning of the year!

Rajanee Michael, Officer

Officer Rajanee Michael was raised in Brooklyn Park MN. She became interested in law enforcement after taking an introduction to criminal justice class and becoming a police explorer. Officer Michael attended Metropolitan state university where she completed her bachelors degree. Officer Michael currently works for the New Hope police department as a patrol officer and her additional duties include being a member of the mobile field force team, SWAT team operator and police explorer advisor.

Nathan Poke, Officer

Officer Nathan Poke, a Richfield, MN native, discovered his calling to serve as a police officer during a  ride-along with his High School baseball coach. This experience ignited his commitment to giving back to his community and providing service to people that can literally save lives. Having graduated from the Police Academy at Alexandria Technical College (MN) and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Cloud State University, Officer Poke brings a well-rounded education to his law enforcement career. In 2011, Officer Poke obtained his license as a Police Officer in La Crosse, WI, where he spent five years as a dedicated patrolman. His exceptional service led to his selection for the department's newly established Neighborhood Response Officer role. Joining the Saint Paul Police Department in 2017, Officer Poke's career has spanned various districts, including East, Central, and Western, and he has spent the last two years contributing to the Special Investigations Unit in the Major Crimes Division. Beyond his law enforcement role, Officer Poke is also a trusted Realtor in the Twin Cities, aiding numerous Law Enforcement families and other front line workers in buying and selling homes. Officer Poke's commitment extends beyond the badge; he is deeply passionate about fostering community partnerships, assisting underprivileged youth, and serving as a role model to inspire the next generation of police officers.
